Dr. Andrew Peshek has over 15 years of experience in the field of psychiatry, he is board certified and an active member of the APA. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH, then completed his residency and fellowship at The University of Pennsylvania. His experience has been varied, teaching psychopharmacology to students, medical staff at the Philadelphia VAMC, TMS/Brain Stimulation labs and research in clinical trials at Penn. Dr. Peshek was Medical Director at Philadelphia Consultation Center for over 10 years. In addition to his private practice, he provides treatment through tele-psychiatry and onsite sessions in rural Pennsylvania at The Community Guidance Center (Indiana/DuBois). Through his extensive and eclectic background, his approach is seasoned with psychodynamic and cognitive-behavior therapy.
He is an expert in psychopharmacology, medical psychiatry, ADHD and mood & anxiety disorders. Through assessment, an individual treatment plan is devised that maximizes the individuals strengths and talents. He has worked for many years with people from various professions including medicine, finance, law and education as well as people who take on other roles including parent, student and professional. He understands the unique challenges created in their lives and gets them moving toward achieving their goals in relationships, careers and personal growth.
Dr. Peshek works with a network of health and medical professionals providing a Gestalt-like sensibility treating the whole person.
Dr. Peshek has offices in Old City and South Philadelphia as well as Lancaster PA and Shadyside, Pittsburgh.
